Verduzzo is another traditional white macerated wine from the Bressan cellar. This variety was already cultivated in the mid-19th century. Recognised for centuries as one of the most typical and representative varieties originating in Friuli. It is certainly a very old variety, which was once widespread and is even described in Acerbi’s “Friulian Vines of the Udine area”. The colour is deep yellow with a hint of green. A very dry wine, robust, with a broad and fresh aroma, a bouquet with strong notes of apple, pear, nectarine and apricot, a dry, slightly tannic palate giving an almond finish with a hint of wild flowers. Pleasant body, balanced and appealing\u00a0 almond aftertaste, with a hint of wild flowers. Great indigenous wine of Friuli.<\/p>\n

Estate<\/h5>\n

The Bressan<\/a> estate is located in Farra d’Isonzo in Friuli Venezia Giulia. The origins date back to 1726, under the then master Giacomo Bressan. From one generation to the next we come to Nereo (Fulvio’s father), and above all Fulvio. Latter, after finishing his university studies, devoted himself to running the estate and establishing himself internationally with his wife Elena Misina. Fulvio was appointed “nobleman of the wines of Friuli” by Duke Emilio I.<\/p>\n

They cultivate 20 hectares of vineyards on pebbles of sun, which have the peculiarity of accumulating heat during the day and releasing it in the evening. Fulvio Bressan’s ideas for wine production are very clear. No chemical intervention in the vineyard, just respect for nature. In the cellar, only indigenous yeasts and traditional vinification, in accordance with a long tradition that rejects modern invasive oenological practices. The vineyards include Schioppettino, Pinot Noir, Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Pignol, Malvasia, Verduzzo and Rebula. The wine is an intense golden yellow colour. On the nose, there are delicate aromatics, peach, melon and almond. On the palate: pleasant acids, peach, ripe apple, traces of honey and ripe citrus. Full body.
