Rebula Nando<\/a> Re Jantar is an exceptional white wine with extended maceration from Gori\u0161ka Brda. On the nose, there are dried apricot, ripe vineyard peach, dried pine nuts and delicate notes of flint. Texture is pleasantly buttery, acids lively, juicy and very pleasant. Tannins are beautifully armed. A pinch of volatile acidity gives the wine a wonderful freshness which, together with the saline\/stony mineral component, balances the complexity. On the palate, we taste ripe and dry stone fruits and some tropical notes. Aftertaste is long, intense and juicy. A superb example of a long macerated Rebula which is a must for lovers of “orange” wines.<\/p>\n

Nando<\/h5>\n

Andrej Kristan\u010di\u010d has been making wine on his farm for almost 25 years. At a young age, he decided to follow the winemaking path started by his great-grandfather Nando, after whom the wines are named. He learned viticulture and winemaking at secondary agricultural school, which was the foundation on which he developed his personal approach to winemaking. In one person, Andrej combines care, knowledge and, above all, dedication to the land of Brda. Cultivation and processing of grapes take place in a nature-friendly way, which is reflected in his wines.<\/p>\n

There are two different lines of Nando’s wines: blue label – the wines are matured in stainless steel containers after being in contact with the skins of the grape berries from 12 hours to a maximum of 8 days. After 10 months, the wine is bottled and goes on the market. Black Label – the wines go through spontaneous fermentation in oak barrels after having been in contact with the skins of the grape berries for 7 to 40 days. Wines stay in oak barrels for at least 18 months, depending on the vintage. These are the so-called “orange” or “amber” wines, which have a particularly ripe aroma and intense colour.<\/p>\n

The vineyards are situated on a soil dominated by marl. Fermentations are always spontaneous. The addition of sulphur before bottling is minimal. Wines are unfiltered and without chemical purification.<\/p>\n

Nando wines are full of character, precision and, last but not least, sincerity, which of course comes from the master.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"

Pale amber colour. On the nose there are dried apricot, pear compote, candied citrus, delicate herbs, especially rosemary and sage. The texture is moderately buttery, the acids lively, juicy and very pleasant, and the tannins perceptible but perfectly soft. Just a pinch of volatile acids gives the wine an ingenious freshness which, together with the salty mineral component, balances the complexity. Flavours are on the fruity side. Apple compote, ripe white plum, apricot and peach. There is also some tropical produce, especially mangoes. On the aftertaste, traces of vanilla and apricot brioche give the wine its finishing touch. The wine is ripe enough, but it is definitely on its way
