Laherte Brut Ultradition<\/a> is an organically produced champagne composed of 60% Pinot Meunier, 30% Chardonnay, 10% Pinot Noir. 40% of the wine is reserve from previous years, stored in barrels.
\nAlcoholic fermentation in large and small barrels, and in inox. Partial malolactic fermentation. Aromas: green apples, citrus, orange peel, dried apricots, light toast – yeast. The predominance of pinot meunier makes the taste pleasantly fruity with a nice minerality on the aftertaste.<\/p>\n

Laherte Estate<\/h5>\n

Jean-Baptiste Laherte founded the family estate in 1889 and planted most of the vines in the village of Chavost, now called Chavot. The estate has grown steadily over the generations and today covers more than 11 hectares in the Champagne region. The sixth and seventh generations are now working together to create wines that are just like them – pure, honest and authentic. They share their experiences and combine their efforts to make the most of this wonderful heritage.<\/p>\n

Since 2005, Aur\u00e9lien Laherte – the seventh generation – has given the estate a new dimension while following in the footsteps of his father Thierry and uncle Christian – the Laherte brothers. Aur\u00e9lien’s work has been subordinated to the aim of bringing out the best of the terroir of each site and vineyard in the wines.<\/p>\n

Approach<\/h5>\n

They devote their full attention to the vines throughout the year and carefully monitor their development. Constantly on the lookout to better understand and appreciate their natural beauty, by observing, touching, feeling, tasting, listening, touching.<\/p>\n

They have created a range of authentic, pure and unique Champagnes. With Laherte Fr\u00e8res, the term ‘terroir wine’ takes on its full meaning. Today, 80% of the estate’s wines are fermented and matured in wooden vats. There are around 350 oak barrels in the cellar, 6 large barrels and 1 tank with a truncated cone. This allows the specific features of each location to be preserved and highlighted. Organic farming with biodynamic principles is the basis for producing grapes. At their optimum ripeness they are the right basis for characterful and refined wines. Young vines are obtained using the mass selection (selection massale) method. The vinification is done on a parcel-by-parcel basis, pressing is immediate and extremely gentle. There is little or no dosage.<\/p>\n
