Casera Frontin Brut Natur<\/a> is a terroir driven sparkling wine. It expresses the character of the varieties and microlocations. Delicate floral and fruity notes (lime, apple, pear, white peach) are complemented by acidic freshness and mineral components. This is the so-called ancestrale method sparkling. Hand harvesting and de-stemming is followed by spontaneous fermentation and 3 weeks of maceration. After gentle pressing, the wine is aged in clay amphorae. The following September, the wine is bottled and the must from the new harvest starts a second fermentation in the bottle.<\/p>\n

Casera Frontin<\/h5>\n

In a small vineyard surrounded by woods in the Belluno area (Veneto) at 420 metres above sea level, the multitude of colours matches perfectly as in the picture. Soil, wild herbs and flowers, then the vineyard area of intense green. Higher up, the whiteness of cherry and apple trees in bloom. A painting that smells of nature, biodiversity, love and transparency. In this enchanting atmosphere, where space and time seem to stand still, the project of Maurizio and Fabiola, farmers in Valbelluna, was born. Biodynamic viticulture based on natural vinification methods that are simple and respectful of the environment and tradition.<\/p>\n

Maurizio and Casa Belfi<\/h5>\n

Maurizio Donadi is an oenologist trained at the Conegliano Institute and the University of Padua. Working in his own vineyards, he immediately adopted the principles of Rudolf Steiner’s philosophy. Soon he obtained the Demeter certification and continued experimenting each year in search of a constant evolution towards the balance and harmony of nature. All with the aim of bringing all the richness of the variety and the territory into the bottle in its pure form.<\/p>\n

Use of products based on beneficial micro-organisms. Use of indigenous yeasts in the cellar without stabilisation, filtration and clarification. Casa Belfi currently has 12 hectares of vineyards. 8 of which are in the San Polo di Piave area and 4 hectares in the Noventa di Piave area. In a way a pioneer of the return to the traditions of the territory, Maurizio has been consecrated in recent years with his “Colfondo”.\u00a0A tribute to the Prosecco of the past, obtained by fermentation in the bottle with its own yeasts, without any external intervention.
